With the acquisition of Polycom by Plantronics in March 2018, what lies ahead for the new company rebranded as Poly?

As introduced in Orlando, Florida at Enterprise Connect 2019, Poly will be focusing on new products and services to make the modern open office work intuitively for everyone while limiting noise and distractions in the workplace.  With new technologies such as Polycom Studio video conferencing and Trio 8800 conference phones, huddle rooms can be as powerful as traditional board rooms.  "Poly aims to be the solution of choice whenever and wherever collaboration clouds reach people," as per their press release on March, 20, 2019.

What's in the future for communication devices?

The Elara 60 Series is very exciting! A mobile phone station designed for the mobile-first worker that provides users with a one-touch Microsoft Teams experience.  Everyone is asking about this product since it was first introduced privately to partners.  Bookmark our blog for updates.

Blackwire 7225 UC Headset designed for concentration in open offices with a new boomless design.  Blackwire 7225 incorporates active noise cancelling (ANC) technology that allows the ability to focus on work, listen to music and sound professional  on calls from a PC or MAC.  No wires, no boom.... Wonderful!  See video below.

The Plantronics Status Indicator offers a wired presence indicator that sits on your desktop and connects with whatever communications platform you are using so others will see if you are available to chat, are on a call, or away from your desk.  Visual and audio alerts sound for messages and calls.  Can be customized with 10 different ring tones.  This will be a big hit especially in busy office areas.

These are just a few of the new products and solutions that Poly has planned this year.  More surprises on the way!

Poly is focused on making the workplace quieter and less invasive as nearby noise is ever so distracting.  You know how that goes.  There is always someone talking around you in an open office environment, or in the hallway chatting close to your office, or playing music while you are on a call which can be so distracting.  The Savi 8200* Series of wireless, DECT, headsets is already available using new technology to assist in keeping your area quiet while you are engaged on the phone.

Watch how Poly's new products and technology makes your space noise-free when you are on a call.
