Whether you're working in a contact center, the office, or hybrid environment, those who have a noticeable loss of hearing may benefit from a professional headset that is hearing aid compatible and has passed the U.S. Hearing Aid Requirements (HACR). It's so very frustrating if you can't hear when on a conference call, video meeting or on the phone when trying to speak with a customer.
Hearing aid compatible headsets offer better noise canceling technology, thus making it easier to hear and be heard, as well as being comfortable enough to wear all day. For those working in customer service or contact centers, this is an especially welcome feature.
Most hearing aids today come equipped with a Telecoil which is a tiny wire inside the hearing aid that converts electromagnetic signals into sounds. (Also, referred to as T-coils). To use your hearing aid's telecoil with a hearing aid compatible headset, move the hearing aid setting to the "T" mode which will switch off the microphone and activate the telecoil.
