Who uses Push-to-Talk (PTT) equipment?

Most commonly are 911 Dispatchers, people who work in Public Safety jobs, Air Traffic Controllers, and those who work in sensitive and secure areas as in government or government-related positions.  Having the right equipment is crucial, especially where safety and security are concerned.

Push-to-Talk adapters are used to enable secure communications when attached to a headset.  These PTT adapters are available in various models to support a range of  configurations such as momentary or selectable, straight or coil cord, as well as corded and wireless.

Some offer USB connectivity for use with a PC for softphone while others connect to an RJ9 cable for use with a desk phone; all are TAA and NDAA compliant.  These PTT solutions support the use of either a 3.5mm headset or a Plantronics/Poly "HW" series Quick Disconnect (QD) headset depending on the applications.  They are ideal for secure communications in sensitive or secure areas which may include SCIFs or DOD Collateral areas.

It should be noted most items are Manufacturer Special Order items and require between 6-24 weeks lead time depending on the item.  Also, because they are special order items, they may have a minimum order quantity and are non-cancelable and non-returnable.
